Pilot partnerships
We're looking for a small number of organisations in each sector outside aviation to run a six-month pilot with us. You'd help design the version of SOMAT you use, we'd set it up and train your people, and at the end you'd see what your own data shows before deciding whether to carry on.
Process
- Weeks 1โ4Co-designWe agree one assessment or observation scheme with you, in the terms your people already use, along with the outcome measures it will be compared against.
- Weeks 5โ6Set-up and trainingWe set up your teams, roles and branding, and run half a day of training for your observers or evaluators.
- Months 2โ5RunningYour people carry out assessments and observations, and an evaluator reviews each session once it's submitted. The dashboards update as sessions are completed.
- Month 6ReviewWe go through what your data shows with you, including anything that didn't turn out as expected, and you decide what happens next.
Time and cost
On your side, we'd need a named lead who can give a few hours a month, and access to the outcome data you want to compare against, under a data sharing agreement that we put in place before anything is collected.
The cost depends on the size of the scheme and how much analyst time you'd like. We agree a fixed price with you at the start, and it won't change during the six months. If you decide to carry on afterwards, you keep a founding-partner rate.
We can't promise that a pilot will produce a particular finding. Six months is usually enough to see whether a pattern is there, presuming a reasonable number of sessions, but some questions take longer to answer, and we'll tell you during the design stage if we think yours is one of them.
Contact
The easiest way to start is a walkthrough, which takes about 30 minutes on a video call. We'll show you SOMAT with example data from your sector, and if you tell us beforehand what you assess or audit at the moment, we can pick the closest example to it.
If you're an airline or another aviation organisation, Harlow Stewart is the best first point of contact.
